The Coevorder Crossloop starts and finishes on the grounds of the ice rink on the Watersnip in Coevorden. The course is a single three-kilometre lap around the Klinkenvlierse Plas, covered once, twice or three times — hence the distances of 3, 6 and 9 kilometres. The morning opens at ten with the youth race over a kilometre and a half, split into three age groups, after which the distances go off at half-hourly intervals until quarter past twelve. Because everyone runs the same lap, the whole field stays visible from the rink all morning. The event is organised by Loopgroep Coevorden.
