Cavatrail 2.0

About the race

The Cavatrail is the Cavalopers' winter forest trail at Provinciaal Domein Het Leen near Eeklo. Since the course was revised there are four distances — 5, 10, 20 and 30 kilometres — plus a youth loop of roughly two kilometres on which an adult may accompany the youngest participants. The route stays almost entirely on forest paths inside the estate, and in February that means mud: trail shoes are not compulsory but they are a good idea, and white socks are a bad one. The name explains itself at the finish, where every participant is handed a bottle of cava instead of the usual medal.
