Berenloop Terschelling

About the race

The Berenloop is the well-known island marathon of Terschelling. You start on Torenstraat in West-Terschelling and finish on Brandarisplein by the lighthouse. Along the way you run past the harbour, through the island villages and dunes and over a stretch of beach; the full marathon also crosses the Boschplaat. The half marathon starts at noon, the full one at 12.40 p.m., with a five-hour time limit and a cut-off at Midsland aan Zee. On Saturday the Kleintje Berenloop (5 and 10 km) and a youth run are on the programme. Both long distances fill up quickly, so expect to register early and arrange your ferry crossing in good time.
