The 4 Mijl van Annerveenschekanaal is the village race of the Baddedravers running group, starting and finishing at the MFC de Badde community centre on the Greveling. The main distance is a genuine four miles: 6.4 kilometres over a varied course through the peat colonies around the village. Half an hour earlier the children run the Lutje Turfjeloop, free of charge and split into 500 metres for the younger classes and 1000 metres for the older ones. Youngsters aged twelve to seventeen compete for cups, while the first three adults win prize money. Everyone receives a medal afterwards along with soup and a roll; showers are available in the community centre.
