The 30 van Amsterdam Noord is the road race of AV Atos, with start and finish at Sportpark Elzenhagen on the Elzenhagenpad. The main event is the 30 kilometres, which leaves the urban section behind quickly and heads into the open Waterland: past the Volgermeer and Buikslotermeer polders and through the old villages of Zunderdorp, Zuiderwoude and Broek in Waterland. Alongside it there are a half marathon, 15 kilometres and 10 kilometres. The course is flat and runs largely over paved paths that carry little traffic on many stretches, which makes the race popular as preparation for an autumn marathon. The sports park is a ten-minute walk from metro station Noord.
