About the race

The Zesheuveltjesloop in Kruiseke near Wervik costs nothing: entry is free, which is unusual for a timed evening race over 10.5 kilometres. There is one distance and one lap, starting at half past seven, with bibs handed out at the Sparta Kruiseke canteen on the Tabakstraat. The name says what the course amounts to — a series of short climbs that keep breaking your rhythm, which makes this race harder than a flat street run of the same length. The route is published on Strava in advance and can be downloaded as a GPS file, so you know exactly what is coming.
