Zeijer Strubbenloop

About the race

The Zeijer Strubbenloop sets off from the village green by café Hingstman in Zeijen and explores the Drenthe landscape around the village from there. The programme is broad: a 15-kilometre trail run, a 5 and a 10 kilometres on the road, a walking route and children's races from 500 to 1500 metres. The name refers to the strubben, the gnarled oak groves that are characteristic of this region and that the course runs through. The 10 kilometres counts towards the standings of the Loopcircuit De Kop van Drenthe. The events are spread across the day, with the walkers in the morning, the children around midday and the runners in the afternoon.
