PeelandRun is the running day in Wissenkerke, tied to the Wielerronde Noord-Beveland cycling race. Start and finish are on the Voorstraat and all running distances set off together, after a local 300-metre lap first: a short round of 5.5 kilometres, a medium one of 8.5 and a long one of 15 kilometres. Before that the children run their own series over 300, 900 and 1200 metres, each with a separate start. Entry is free for everyone up to and including age fifteen, and afterwards those participants receive a medal, pancakes, an ice cream and fresh fruit. Race numbers, changing rooms and bag drop are all in the Zaal Onder de Toren. There is a separate prize for the fastest local Peelander, and in the afternoon the cycling race takes over the village.
