Woldbergtrail

About the race

The Woldbergtrail, run by Atletiekvereniging Start '78, starts and finishes at Residence de Eese on the Bultweg, just outside Steenwijk. The routes cross the woodland of the Woldberg and the Heideveld, on narrow and winding paths, at least three quarters of it unpaved. There are distances of 5, 15, 25 and 42.2 kilometres, plus a kids trail of 1.7. The organisers state themselves that none of the distances are exact — on this ground that is more honest than pretending to a measurement accurate to the hundred metre. Anyone watching the clock should allow for it.
