Winter Triathlon Leeuwarden is a winter multisport event in and around the 11Stedenhal in Leeuwarden. The format combines running, cycling and ice skating across four distances, with categories for youth, individual athletes and trios or teams. The skating rink is reserved for participants during the race and there is no time limit, giving the day a clear race character with a calm execution. The fixed transition points, the course management and the role of the skating hall as the closing leg are its defining features.
