Wanzele Loopt is the running evening of Wanzele, a village near Lede, held to mark the village fair and carried by volunteers. Start and finish are at the church. The programme counts five races: three kids runs setting off one after another from six in the evening — two of 400 metres, split by age, and an 800 metres for ten to twelve year olds — followed by the 5 and the 10 kilometres through the village streets. Entry is free for children, adults pay ten euros. Everyone receives a medal and a goodie bag, and the times of the adult races are recorded electronically and published online.
