De 10 van Wichelen is the evening street race of ACES Wichelen, with the Scheldepromenade at the Oud Dorp as its start area. The evening opens with the youth categories — kangoeroes, benjamins, pupillen and miniemen — after which the five kilometres sets off, followed by the ten. Aid stations stand at 2.5 and 7.5 kilometres. Every participant takes home a prize in kind, and there is prize money for the first seven men and women on both distances, running from seventy euro for the winner down to ten for seventh place. Paying seven deep is unusual for a village race and visibly draws faster runners, without the club feel of the evening suffering for it.
