Volksloop Oosterwolde is the full running evening in the centre of Oosterwolde, with youth races, a G-loop and the well-known 4-mile race from Appelscha. LSV Invictus and Rotary Oosterwolde link the event to Ooststellingwerf Beweegt: children race at De Trambaan, the G-loop has its own place in the programme and the main distance finishes on Stationsstraat. The 4-mile race starts at 19:30 on Boerestreek in Appelscha, with free buses from Oosterwolde bus station beforehand. Short races, music, an activity square and the finish in town make the Volksloop both accessible and unmistakably local.
