Vestingloop Dordrecht

About the race

The Vestingloop Dordrecht runs through the old town of one of the oldest fortified cities in the Netherlands, starting and finishing on the Energieplein. The afternoon opens with the 5-kilometre walk, followed by a 1-kilometre family run and then the 5 kilometres. The 10 kilometres closes the programme and sets off in three waves ten minutes apart, which keeps it workable in the narrow streets. Companies can enter as teams over 5 or 10 kilometres. Music and spectators line the route. The race belongs to a series of fortified-town runs that together raise money for research into brain disorders.
