Veluwse TrailRun

About the race

The Veluwse TrailRun, run by Stichting VeluweSportief, sets off from the Traildorp on the edge of the Ermelosche Heide. From there the routes follow single tracks across the heath and through the Speulder- en Sprielderbos, the largest unbroken forest on the Veluwe. There are six distances, each with its own name: Reekalf over 10 kilometres, Moeflon over 15, Damhert over 22, Edelhert over 30, the Highland Marathon over 42 and the Battle over 60. The marathon is the only one not starting in the forest but in the centre of Ermelo, passing the Traildorp only along the way. The courses are laid out with the municipality and Staatsbosbeheer and fully waymarked. The Traildorp serves as base camp, with changing rooms, bag storage, water points and catering.
