About the race

The Ultra Trail Haute Ardenne fills an entire weekend around the ski station at the Baraque de Fraiture, the highest point in the province of Luxembourg. Friday evening opens with a vertical kilometre: a thousand metres of climbing gathered on a one-kilometre loop, with a steep pull up the ski slope. On Saturday every distance is run point to point towards that same finish; the 100 kilometres starts at the Signal de Botrange, the shorter races at Malmedy, Stavelot and Trois-Ponts. The routes cross the High Fens and pass Reinhardstein castle and the abbey of Stavelot. Sunday brings loops of 15 to 57 kilometres through Vielsalm and Lierneux, plus a trail whose course is kept secret. Camping, showers and catering are available on site.
