Epic Trail Baraque de Fraiture

About the race

The Epic Trail crosses the Ardennes plateau around the Baraque de Fraiture, at 652 metres one of the highest points in Belgium. There are five distances, from just over 20 kilometres with some 600 metres of climbing to just over 100 kilometres with almost 2,900, and routes of 36, 49 and 78 kilometres in between. The course seeks out little-known valleys and is deliberately kept runnable: the longest distance holds only a few per cent of asphalt and never becomes genuinely technical. The aid stations are easy to reach, so supporters see their runners several times. The finish climbs the ski slope, one last wall before the line.
