About the race

Triathlon Oud Gastel is the triathlon day run by werkgroep 't Veerke in West Brabant, starting at Gastel Sfeer on the Vliet and finishing in the centre of Oud Gastel. In 2026 the event reaches its 40th edition: the youth triathlon is on Friday, followed on Saturday 13 June by the individual waves and trio teams. The programme ranges from 1/8 and 1/4 to 1/3 triathlon, plus an anniversary race with a 400 m swim, 40 km bike ride and almost 4 km run. Athletes swim in the Vliet, ride through the polders and run back towards the village centre. With competitive waves, recreational starts and team options, it feels local without losing the structure of a serious triathlon.
