The ESS Gastelse Obstaclerun is an accessible obstacle run around the scout building, the Gastels Bos woods and the pond in Oud Gastel. It is not about finishing first but about enjoyment: the obstacles are tuned to winter conditions and starts are in small waves, so queues stay short. Children up to twelve run 2 kilometres; from the age of ten you can tackle the large course of 4 kilometres, and from twelve two laps of it, 8 kilometres in total. The adult waves set off in the morning and the youth in the afternoon. Entry is only possible in advance and places are limited. Afterwards you can warm up in the scout building with something to eat and drink.
