Triathlon Langedijk is a compact 1/8 triathlon in Oudkarspel, with a 600 metre swim, 20 km bike ride and 5 km run. The race starts at the Nh1816 site on the Dorpsstraat and uses a clearly local course: swimming in the canal, cycling laps through the polder towards Waarland and running along the Dorpsstraat and Spoorstraat. The race is organised by Stichting Triathlon Langedijk in cooperation with TV Zwefilo and is set up as a non-drafting event under NTB rules. Alongside individual entries there are duo and trio options and a triathlon clinic, keeping the event accessible for athletes who want to experience their first triathlon together. The village atmosphere around Oudkarspel and the finish on the Dorpsstraat give the race a distinct Langedijk identity.
