The Triathlon de Namur plays out in the heart of the Walloon capital, with the Parc de la Plante as its base and transition zone. Two distances are on offer. The sprint combines 500 metres of swimming in the Meuse with 20 kilometres of cycling towards Wépion and Malonne and 5 kilometres of running on the Jambes side, for which participants cross the lock. The Olympic distance covers 1,500 metres of swimming, 40 kilometres of cycling and 10 kilometres of running. What sets it apart is that the race genuinely takes place in and around the city: swimming in the river that cuts through Namur, cycling through the Meuse valley and running along its banks. Entry is open from the age of sixteen. Triathlon Namur Team organises the event.
