The Trail des Fées is run in the forests around Bertrix, in the Ardennes, and has now reached twelve editions. There are four trail distances — 12, 22, 39 and 55 kilometres — with the climbing that comes with that region. Alongside them there is a 13 kilometre walk and three children's races of 500, 800 and 1200 metres. The joëlette option stands out: over 12 and 22 kilometres, participants with reduced mobility can join in a single-wheeled running chair, pushed and pulled by a team. That does not make the longer distances any easier, but it does open them to people who would otherwise be watching from the side. All routes set off from the area around the Cellier du Baudet.
