The Rossignol Run sets off from the Voie du Tram in Rossignol, a village of Tintigny in the Gaume, the southernmost corner of the province of Luxembourg. There are four distances: 7, 14, 21 and 42 kilometres. The race falls in January, which usually leaves the course wet, cold and heavy — that is part of its character. Entry is in advance only and places are limited, which keeps the fields small. No disposable cups are used: every entrant is given a flask when collecting their number and drinks from it for the whole race.
