The Trail des 3 Rochers starts in Grand-Halleux, a village in the municipality of Vielsalm in the Ardennes, and owes its name to the rocks above the valley of the Salm. There are three distances, each with its own start time: 42 kilometres with some 1,400 metres of climbing sets off earliest, then 25 kilometres with 800 metres of climbing and finally 15 kilometres with 350. The difference therefore lies not only in the length but above all in the ascent. All distances have changing rooms, showers, two aid stations and a medal at the finish. Anyone travelling from far away can stay overnight on site with a tent or camper; on Saturday evening there is a pasta meal and on Sunday morning breakfast right up to the start.
