The Trail de Bièvre sets off from the village hall of Gros-Fays, a hamlet of Bièvre in the Ardennes. Five courses share that starting point: 7 and 12 kilometres for those keeping it short, with around 273 and 374 metres of climbing respectively, and alongside them 25, 36 and 50 kilometres for anyone after a genuine trail challenge. The terrain is that of the southern Ardennes, with wooded slopes and deeply cut valleys that make the longer distances demanding. The broad range makes the race suitable both for a first encounter with trail running and for experienced ultra runners.
