The Tour van Spaen is a road race in Grote-Spouwen, starting and finishing at the Blondeswinning. Runners choose between 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres and 10 miles, a little over sixteen kilometres, on the roads around the village. Alongside the races there are walking routes of 8 and 13 kilometres, waymarked with arrows in different colours, so the event becomes an outing for non-runners too. The running races count towards the Victors Cup, a consistency competition in which participants gather points across several races. A drink waits at the finish and the company lingers on site afterwards, which makes the Tour van Spaen as much a village occasion as a race.
