Maastrichts Mooiste is Maastricht's major running event, with the city itself as the setting. On Sunday, runners start from Van Hasseltkade or, for the mini run, from Vrijthof, and head towards a finish on the Markt; the 5 km stays clearly within the city, while the 10 km and 10 English miles also reach the green outskirts with passages along the Meuse, Slavante and, on the longest distance, Hoeve Nekum. The programme ranges from the 300-metre MVV Mini Run and the 1 English mile Kids Run to 5 km, 10 km and 10 English miles, with business options on the main distances. Historic streets, crowds on the Markt, a medal, Limburg flan and the link with KWF give the race more colour than a fast course alone.
