The Toontjesloop is the village race of Sint-Juliaan, a hamlet of Langemark-Poelkapelle in the Westhoek. The start and finish are at the fair marquee by the Hazebrug community centre, because the race belongs to the annual fair and the committee that runs it. All participants set off together in the early evening and choose between 4, 8 and just over 16 kilometres, the longest distance being precisely measured. The course runs through the flat farmland around the village. After the finish the field moves on to the marquee, where the fair fills the rest of the evening.
