Tchalou des Ruelles is a village race in Thuillies, organised by the local volleyball club Tchalou Volley, starting and finishing at the Beobank Arena. The name refers to the course: it alternates between fields and the narrow alleys of the village. Two distances are on offer, roughly 6 and 11.5 kilometres, both gently rolling with a few dozen metres of climbing. The adults set off in the late morning, the youngsters around midday. Changing rooms and showers are available. The race forms part of the Challenge du Hainaut, a points competition in which runners measure themselves against one another across a whole series of races.
