The Tartaros Campus Challenge is a survival run on and around the campus of the University of Twente, organised by the foundation of the same name that grew out of the student survival run club. There are two distances. The 6 kilometres stays on campus and features twenty-four obstacles that need little technique — a good first introduction. The 9 kilometres also crosses the Abraham Ledeboerpark and features thirty-eight obstacles; that distance can be run recreationally or as BSR or KSR, the competition categories of the Dutch survival run federation. The course for the recreational 9 kilometres and the BSR is lighter than the one for the KSR. Along the way come climbing, pulling and balance work, so technique and endurance count as much as pace.
