The Snikkerun is the evening race of Haulerwijk and traditionally falls on the first Saturday in July, with the start and finish at Sportpark De Hichte. The evening opens at half past six with an obstacle run for the very youngest, in which a parent runs along, followed by a timed 2.5-kilometre kids' run for children aged nine to twelve. The main distances then set off: first the 10 kilometres, shortly after the 5. There are separate categories for men and women, plus a youth classification and a category for the over-fifties. Afterwards there are showers, massage and a bag drop.
