Slangenburg trailrun 2026
The Slangenburg Trailrun sets off on the Loordijk near IJzevoorde, a hamlet under Doetinchem, and from there heads into the forests of the Slangenburg. The course alternates narrow forest paths through dense deciduous woodland with stretches of country lane between hedgerows and fields, so you get both the enclosure and the open Achterhoek landscape. There are three distances of 5, 12 and 25 kilometres. Parking is in a meadow two hundred metres away, which captures the scale of the event well. Afterwards you can take a hot shower at the Pokkershutte and pea soup is waiting. The event is organised by Jan in 't Touw.
