The Beekse Trailrun starts at the 't Peeske inn, right in the middle of the Montferland woods. There are two distances: 10 kilometres as a single lap and 20 kilometres as two, both setting off together at half past nine. The course makes use of the trenches in the forest, crosses the Sprung brook and climbs over the Hulzenberg, with a few surprises along the way that the organisers deliberately keep to themselves. Seniors compete for vouchers awarded to the first three men and women on each distance. Entering in advance costs less than signing up at the start. The start area is compact and the whole thing keeps a distinctly local character.
