Montferland Halve Marathon

About the race

A winter road race through the hilly Montferland area, organised by the team behind the Zevenheuvelenloop. All distances start and finish in the historic centre of 's-Heerenberg. The 5 kilometre stays flat around the mill of Stokkum, the 10 kilometre goes through the Bergherbos woods (around 50 metres of elevation gain), and the half marathon takes you further through the forests and hills of the Achterhoek. On the 10 km, the last two kilometres run largely downhill. The day before, on Saturday 16 January, there's a winter hike for walkers.
