Singelloop Enschede

About the race

The Singelloop of Enschede follows the canals ringing the city centre, with start and finish in the Volkspark. The 8 kilometres is one lap, the 16 kilometres two laps of that same course. It is fully paved and looks flat, but the ring carries a slight false flat, which makes the lap more treacherous than the map suggests. Music is set up every five hundred metres along the route. Alongside the two main distances there are children's races and a company run, and the Volkspark itself holds a kids zone, a sports zone and catering. The event has been organised for years by the AC TION athletics association.
