About the race

Simply Move It Backyard Ultra is a 24-hour backyard ultra in the Hoge Bergse Bos near Bergschenhoek. On 30 and 31 May 2026, participants run the same 6.706 km loop on the hour; anyone who returns in time may start again, up to a maximum of 24 loops and 160.9 km. The course follows unpaved paths and mountain-bike terrain, with the climb of the Rotterdamse Alp as a recurring test. Between loops, runners return to the basecamp, where food, rest and support become just as important as pace. That makes the race suitable both for runners testing their first long trail challenge and for ultrarunners who want to see how far they can go in a strict backyard rhythm.
