Runway Run - Enschede 2026
The Runway Run is held on the runway of Twente Airport, on the grounds of the former Twenthe air base. That produces a course you get nowhere else: dead straight, wide and completely flat, with no bend to break your rhythm and no building to stop the wind. There are two distances, 5 and 10 kilometres, plus a kids run. Because the runway lies so open, you see the whole field ahead of and behind you — pleasant if you are running to a time, confronting if you were hoping to hide. The proceeds go to Run for KiKa. The event is organised by Stichting Runway Run.
