The Running Center City Hanzeloop is AV Hanzesport Zutphen's city-centre run, with start and finish on the Groenmarkt. The 5 and 10 kilometres set off together, first running through the historic centre before heading towards the IJssel, where the routes split on the dike. Along the way, participants receive water and sports drink; at the finish there is water, fruit and a commemorative medal for every runner. The programme also includes a 1-kilometre youth run through the centre and separate options for company, school and friend teams. Combined with the 60th Wielerronde van Zutphen, the day has a clear sports-festival feel in the Hanseatic city.
