Runforestrun Ommerland

About the race

RunForestRun Ommerland sets off at Recreatiepark Ommerland in Dalmsholte, just outside Ommen, over three distances: 10, 21 and 44 kilometres. The route winds around the Besthemerberg and crosses the wood and sand country of the Eerder Achterbroek, past farmyards, an estate and parts of the Beerze Bulten. Drift sand and short rises set the rhythm more than the pace does: the surface changes constantly and demands attention. In February that landscape is bare and wet, which makes the longest distance considerably harder than the kilometres suggest. Staying on the paths and bringing your own cup are part of the arrangements. The event is organised by RunForestRun.
