The Nijverdalsebergcross is the cross-country race organised by ASV Atletics, starting at the 't Oale Spoor riding stables right beside the Sallandse Heuvelrug ridge. Every loop is one hundred percent unpaved and suitable for spikes; the course consists of several loops combined differently for each category. The organisers measure to the metre: 1430, 2890, 4320, 5780, 7210 and 10,100 metres, with recreational and licensed runners using the same loops. The morning starts with the youth, then the recreational long and short distances follow, and in the afternoon the competition categories run through to the masters. The race counts towards the regional eastern cross circuit and towards the national cross country series.
