Runforestrun Hooilanden

About the race

RunForestRun Hooilanden starts at Camping De Bronzen Emmer in Meppen and leads through the Mepperdennen, past farmland and bird sanctuaries, and back to the finish by way of the Gees forestry. There are five distances, and the difference comes down to one area: the 11, 15 and 19 kilometres stay outside the Mantingerzand, while the 25 and 43 kilometres do pass through it. Anyone wanting to see that drift-sand area therefore has to pick one of the two long distances. The routes are waymarked and served by aid stations, with as little paving as possible. For each participant the organisers contribute through Sport4Nature to nature projects in the region being run through.
