This edition has already happenedSee upcoming races nearbyRunForestRun Hart van Drenthe sets off from the Bosrand holiday park in Ellertshaar and heads into the Grolloo and Schoonloo forestry areas. The organisers describe the terrain themselves as quiet and almost desolate: winding singletracks, silent forest paths and open Drenthe countryside. There are four distances — 12, 24, 43 and 50 kilometres — of which the longest makes a loop around the former Westerbork camp. Every entry fee includes a donation to Sport4Nature, through which the organisers channel money to a specific nature project in this very area. The series deliberately keeps participant numbers low, which on narrow paths is also simply practical.
