Runforestrun Cross Triathlon

About the race

The RunForestRun Cross Triathlon sets off from the Gasselterveld in Gasselte, Drenthe, combining open-water swimming with mountain biking and trail running through the forest and across the drift sands. There are three solo distances: the L over 0.5 kilometres of swimming, 16 kilometres of biking and 5 kilometres of running, the XL over 1, 33 and 10 kilometres, and the XXL over 1.5, 50 and 15 kilometres. The XL can also be done as a relay by a team of two or three, with one participant on the course at a time. Based on the number of entrants, the organisers donate to a nature project in the same area, which fits a race that lies entirely in the outdoors.
