The Kadeloop is a summer road race in Schipluiden that has been run since 1978. The twelve kilometres is the main distance: it heads into the green polder country of Midden-Delfland and comes back to the village along the Vlaardingsekade. There is also a five-kilometre loop, and for children two youth races of one and two kilometres through the village itself. The course is flat and paved, so the wind over the polder is the only real opponent. The longer distances use chip timing and there are water points along the way. The set-up is village-scale and easy to follow, with a programme that fits into a single Saturday. De Hardloper organises the race.
