Houttrail Delft

About the race

The Houttrail starts at the AV'40 athletics club on the Sportring in Delft and heads into the Delftse Hout and the Biesland woods; the longer distances add De Balij. There are three routes of roughly 13, 24 and 35 kilometres, run as far as possible on unpaved paths: woodland, grass, gravel, log bridges and short stretches of tarmac, with little climbing. The organisers deliberately aim at two groups at once — the course is manageable for a first trail and varied enough for those who have done many. Everything is waymarked, there are water points, the photos are free and a vegetarian soup waits at the finish. You bring your own cup.
