The Regge Survival is an obstacle run for children and teenagers in Nijverdal, organised by the club ASV Atletics. The course lies around the athletics track and leads through the Doktersbos woods and through the river Regge, so staying clean is not an option; swimming certificates A and B are required. There are three recreational team runs: 1.5 kilometres from age four, 5 kilometres from age seven and 6.5 kilometres from age ten, with a maximum of ten participants per team. There is also an individual competition over 5 and 6.5 kilometres from age eight, in which both the time and the correct clearing of the obstacles count. Runners set off in small groups, and a medal and a warm outdoor shower await at the finish.
