The Triathlon Holten spans two days and is one of the oldest triathlons in the Netherlands. Friday evening belongs to the youth and the companies: there are youth triathlons in two age groups and a company triathlon in team and relay form, after which the opening party runs deep into the night. Saturday brings the recreational distances, from the eighth triathlon with its swim in the pool to the standard distance with two swim laps in the Domelaar, two bike laps and four run laps. Because every discipline is set out in laps around the village, spectators stand close to the action and each participant passes the same points several times.
