Les Hivernales du RCB is a winter trail through the Sonian Forest, starting and finishing on the athletics track of the International School of Brussels on the Kattenberg in Watermael-Boitsfort. Three distances are on offer: 10, 20 and 39 kilometres, with the longest gathering around 556 metres of climbing. The 10 and 20 kilometres head straight from the track into a kilometre of climbing towards the Drève des Tumuli; the 20 kilometres then adds a two-and-a-half-kilometre ascent, closing with a descent back to the school. The 39 kilometres pushes deeper into the forest, past the Brussels water sources, the Highland cattle and the castle of La Hulpe, over technical terrain that is often muddy in winter.
