The Outdoor Valley Survivalrun sets off from the Hoeksekade in Bergschenhoek and runs straight through the Hoge Bergse Bos. It is not an obstacle run with built attractions but a survival run: running interspersed with climbing, hanging and rope work, where the terrain itself — forest, meadow and the hills of the area — supplies a large part of the obstacles. The race is held under the auspices of the Survivalrun Bond Nederland, which means the obstacles and the judging meet the national standards.
