Ot en Sien Run

About the race

The Ot en Sien Run starts on the Brink in Roden and leads through the heart of the village and around the Mensinge manor. The shorter distances are built on a 2.5-kilometre loop that you cover two, three or four times, for 5, 7.5 or 10 kilometres; the half marathon uses its own seven-kilometre loop run three times. Because everything is set out in laps, spectators see the runners pass several times. The name refers to the children's book characters Ot and Sien, whom the writer Hindericus Scheepstra placed in a world strongly reminiscent of Roden. Straight after the race, the Lus van Roden cycling criterium takes over the same course.
